ThisSummer DD Centre proudlypresents the first
series of Programme BEST (Programme for Breeding of Elite Students)
–giving students the ground work and exposure to enhance their
confidence inspoken English and the aesthetic aspects of the English
language, which maytake them to preparing themselves for the Schools
Speech Festival and other speakingskills examinations. ProgrammeBEST
will be conducted byexperienced speech and drama tutors.
DDCentre
is one of the venues forthe Guildhall Examination 2004 and 2005
in Hong Kong, and LAMDA (London Academyfor Music and Dramatic Art)
Examination 2005 in Hong Kong.

- 27th August 2005 (Saturday) isscheduled for the Performance Session,
to be conducted at the Conference Hall, Boysand Girls Club Association,
3 Lockard Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, from 2 –5 pm.
The Programme
Programme BEST aims to give studentsvarious levels
the ground work and exposure to enhance their confidence inspoken
English and the aesthetic aspects of the English language, which
maytake them to preparing themselves for the Schools Speech Festivals
and other Speechand Drama/Dramatic Art examinations. It focuses
training and drilling on speaking skills, intonation, enunciation,articulation,
pronunciation and drama sketches. Common errors for Chinese speakers
will be covered. It will be conducted in an interactiveand fun-making
atmosphere. Classsize is limited to 20 each. Aperformance session
for all levels is scheduled for the last session of theprogramme,
for 27th August 2005 (Saturday). Parents are invited to witness
progressof their children after the course.
During
the first session of the programme therewill also be a brief introduction
of the School Based Assessment (SBA) which isthe new system to be
launched in 2007. Parents are encouraged to attend andfind out more
about SBA.
